‘Guru’ has many meanings like teacher who teaches in school is called guru, one who is expert in business is called business guru, one who is expert in autmobile is called auto guru.Guru is also a human being, when praised however,’guru brahma guru vishnu guru devo maheshwarah’, means guru is Brahma, guru is Vishnu, guru is Shiva, but any human is not taken.but what is important is when we worship the God(murti) Dhakshinamurti.
On Gurupurnima day we take blessings of our guru’s in a traditional way and worship Dakshinamurti. The importance of this festival is beginning of universe where ‘Guru’ is considered as one among the important part in anyone’s life. This is dedicated to all the teachers.
